Loong Air has initiated its first cross-strait flight route, connecting Chengdu Tianfu International Airport with Taichung International Airport. This new direct flight is a significant development for the airline, enhancing travel links between southwestern China and central Taiwan.
The service will operate on a bi-weekly schedule, with flights departing every Tuesday and Saturday. This addition is anticipated to bolster travel connectivity, offering passengers a seamless route between these two vibrant regions.
With the inclusion of the Chengdu service, Taichung International Airport now boasts a total of 31 routes, comprising 20 regular services and 11 charter routes. The airport’s expansion reflects its growing role as a regional hub, catering to a diverse array of travel needs.
Chengdu becomes the latest city to be served by Taichung Airport, joining Nanjing and Qingdao as the other scheduled cross-strait destinations. This expansion underscores the importance of Taichung Airport in facilitating cross-strait travel and commerce.
