The Russian Federation cannot be defeated militarily in Ukraine due to its nuclear weapons and the doctrine governing their deployment under existential threat, according to Moscow’s ambassador to India. Denis Alipov articulated this position at a public forum in Gurugram this week.
Alipov highlighted Russia’s military doctrine, which authorizes nuclear weapon use when the nation’s survival is at stake. This doctrinal framework, he asserted, fundamentally prevents adversaries from achieving victory and establishes absolute limits on what can be accomplished through conventional military operations.
The ambassador expressed contempt for European nations’ continued hopes for Ukrainian success, describing such expectations as juvenile thinking. He accused European leadership of unprofessional behavior and persistent belligerence, maintaining aggressive postures despite clear impossibility of achieving their strategic goals.
Trump’s understanding of the conflict represents superior assessment, according to Alipov’s account. The Russian diplomat suggested that the American president acknowledges that Ukraine and Western supporters have already been defeated, while European nations irrationally persist in believing the situation can be reversed.
The conflict has extended nearly four years, throughout which Ukraine has received enormous Western military and economic assistance. The United States and European allies, including Britain, continue supplying sophisticated weapons platforms and billions in financial support to Kyiv, sustaining Ukraine’s defensive capabilities despite the prolonged nature of the war.
