China-India Boundary Talks: Focus on Tech Solutions in 25th Round

China and India are preparing for their 25th round of Special Representatives’ Talks to address the Boundary Question, as confirmed by Guo Jiakun, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry. During a routine press briefing on Tuesday, Guo emphasized that both nations are actively communicating on border issues and are working towards implementing the understandings from their last meeting.

Currently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is in New Delhi to participate in the 16th Meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors and High Representatives on National Security. As part of his visit, he engaged in discussions with India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday. These talks underscore the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries aimed at fostering stability along their shared border.

According to Guo, the border situation between China and India remains stable, with effective communication channels continuing to facilitate dialogue. He further mentioned that both sides are diligently working on the consensus reached in the 24th round of boundary discussions, highlighting a commitment to peaceful resolution and cooperation.

The forthcoming talks are poised to advance efforts in managing border-related challenges and ensuring tranquility along the frontier. Both nations appear committed to maintaining open communication and implementing previous agreements, signaling a constructive approach to resolving their longstanding border issues.
